Document

In terms of word processing, a document is a electronic or hard copy of reference material. To make a document into a hard copy, print the document. Text documents come in the following file types:

  • Microsoft® Word (.doc and .docx)

  • Portable Data Format (.pdf)

  • Rich Text Format (.rtf)

  • Plain Text (.txt)
